There is a jw church down the street, and a lds church up the street. I have signs posted, and "no thanks" does not work when they come.

It is not a hate crime unless I do it because of their religion. Doing it because they are trespassing has nothing to do with their religion. So no, it is not a hate crime. I am an atheist. If a christian punches me for calling his wife ugly, that does not make it a hate crime.

Bill. I never claimed to have done this. I asked if it was wrong. You are so lost in your pipe dream, bubble, etc that you could not see that.

If I show up at your door trying to convert you, then you I would want you to shoot me.

God wants them to harass me? God told me to set out bear traps and put a hornets nest under the steps.

Answering the door naked works for me.

Even if there is a conspicuous "No Trespassing" sign, a property owner cannot physically attack a trespasser at will.

Most (yes MOST) Jehovah's Witnesses who are assaulted with buckets of water or paint will file assault charges. Most (yes MOST) prosecutors are more than happy for the headlines associated with the righteous prosecution of a religious "hate crime". Even if a particular prosecutor was a "good old boy", it would be relatively straightforward to elevate a crime of this nature to federal court as a civil rights violation.

Incidentally, the Supreme Court has ruled (and upheld themselves) that religious proselytizing is NOT soliciting, because the canvassers are there to share a message, rather than ask for something. Jehovah's Witnesses ignore "No Soliciting" signs, but do respect "No Trespassing" signs when they are conspicuously displayed.

The Supreme Court of the United States says Jehovah's Witnesses have the right to go from home to home, and we are not considered solicitors, if you have a fence, and we enter, we are trespassing.

In all my years in the Ministry, going from house to house, I have never encounter a hostile disagreement face-to-face, as in some of the explanations that are given when a Witness comes to your door. You people have a fantasy mind, Hyponym: bubble, dream, fairyland, fantasy life, fantasy world, ignis fatuus, phantasy life, phantasy world, pipe dream, science fiction, will-o'-the-wisp, wishful thinking. Most of your explanations are nothing more than untruths. Which you have never said or did, you just like to toot your horn.

When I go from house to house, someone may tell me that they are on the phone, busy, or not interested, I simply say, “maybe some other time” and have a nice day, go to the next home, there is always someone that is nice & wants to talk about God's Word.

For those that say they come to the door “nude” all I would say is “you must be missing some brain cells” because no one in their right mind would deliberately come to the front door because of a Religious Organization knocking or ringing doorbell. By the way, each State has facilities, a building or place that provides a particular service, that take care of people like this, they are called a “Mental Institute.”

You must be Jewish, as that Ancient Jews did soemthing similar, except with stones. If not, the best way to learn what to do to stop JWs is to contact a synagogue and talk to the Rabbi.

Ask him how the ancient Jews got rid of the Christian Jews when they went from house to house telling their brethren that the beliefs, rituals, and holiday observances that they have followed for hundreds of years was no longer valid?

I’m sure they had ways to get rid of the members of this first century cult started by a lower class, uneducated Carpenter, who was executed for cause by the governing authority. These followers were also lower class, uneducated individuals, such as Peter, a failed fisherman, and Matthew, a hated tax collector.

Lacking any kind of education, let alone advance religious education, it was clear they were brainwashed.

Saul of Tarsus, a highly educated individual, repeatedly proved they were a false religious sect, creating their own scriptures (Bible) instead of relying on the Holy Torah, which had been used by the Jews for hundreds of years. He stood by as the true people of God stoned these so-called follower of Christ.

So, just take a lesson from the ancient Jews. What worked for them against the Christian cult should work against the JWs.

If you don't want to talk to them, just don't answer the door.

There's no reason to be commiting assault on people who are doing what they think is a good thing.

I always enjoy when they show up on my doorstep (unless I happen to be really hungover). I'll talk to them for hours, debating their beliefs and trying to get them to examine some of the inconsistencies and contradictions within their own pamphlets.

I think I must end up on some kind of 'do not go there' list or something though, because I haven't seen any for a few years now.

But I recently moved into a new place, so I'm hoping they start showing up again!! I can hardly wait!!!

Legally speaking it depends on local laws. Shooting someone, especially Paintballing someone, is a hard thing to prove as self defense or a matter of right. I have this amazing trick for you, Don't answer the door. All we Witnesses wish to do is share information, if you do not want it and feel ill prepared to say no/feel it will not work to say no, then do not answer.

If I were you, I would be a little more specific with your signs. When I was very young the word "solicit" did not mean anything to me, and I doubt that the youngest missionaries know what it means exactly either. If you are Catholic, for example, you can just put a sign up that says, "We are practicing Catholics." That should be enough. Oh, if you ever are in the mood for a funny Mormon movie that includes paintballing, you can always try "Mobsters and Mormons."

The best way to deal with people who try to convert you to a false doctrine is to fight it with the Bible. Tell them why you believe what you believe. Most churches who go soul winning will not drag you kicking and screaming into their church, its up for you to decide if you want to be saved and once you're saved, to join a local New Testament church. JW and Mormons give the rest of us a bad rap.

We were tormented by them WEEKLY for awhile (multiple knockings). One day my son (who was only about 15 or so at the time) answered the door and loudly announced "We are not interested because we are Satanists" -- I was in the other room (did not know who he was talking to) and about dropped the bowl I was carrying. We are devout Christians and could not believe anything like that would come out of his mouth -- but guess what -- they NEVER came back.

depending on who's white'r in the courts eyes, shooting people (innocent bystandards) with paintball guns can be considered assualt if the people and police want to press charges. if you're a poor young man they'll likely add on criminal mischief, disturbing the peace, concealed weapon, resisting arrest, and anything else thier creative minds can come up with.

As you look like a mid aged white man who likes zappa you can probably shoot some mormons and get away with it (no one likes them much anywho)but if you are poor or live in a trailer you cannot. even if your older.
