what should i do about my crazy bf?

After breaking up with my bf a few months ago,because it wasnt working,i missed him too much and we got back together.Everything has been great but,one night recently,he was shouting and swearing at me,and he later started cutting his fingers with a penknife.The next day,i wasnt keen on talking to him and because of this he cried in front of our friends.So,all my friends came up to me telling me we are like a 'fairytale romance' and i must forgive him because he is really sorry.So i talked to him and he said he doesn know why he hurt himself or why he hurt me.But he said he wants to do something about it.My friend thinks he only did it to stop me from leaving him.I dont think this is true.I told him i need a while to cool off because im still upset,but he's constantly texting me still,about how much he loves me etc.what should i do?

u should tell him that he needs to learn to love himself before he can love anyone else. then leave him. maybe stay friendly (NOT FRIENDS) but there is something unhealthy about him that is WAAAYY too deep for u to deal with from a mere BF.

Forget what your dopey friends say, you need to get away from this guy fast. He is crazy or he at least has problems, serious problems that you cannot help him deal with. You need to drop the fairytale stuff and look for a real live prince and not a screwed up basket case.

It sounds llike he is loosing control. He may be suffering from a mental illness. This will be very hard for you, but you should probably find a way to break it off with him because it sounds like he will be physically abusive. He is already emotionaly abusing you. Be careful. You may want to consult with a professional on this.
