In the over they are not flammable, unless you hold it under the broiler or leave in baking for hours and hours, or if you hold a lit match to it, then it is flammable.

They are. But at typical baking temperatures the waxy coating is unlikely to burn. They wouldn't hold up in the broiler.

they are to open flame. Everything has a kindling temperature, that is the temp at which that object will start to burn.

So they dont burn in the oven ... they have a wax coating
