Lip piercing is almost as bad as tongue piercing because of the proximity to all the nasty bacteria in the human mouth... yes, it's infected, and in my learned opinion, looks like crap anyway... do yourself and everyone that looks at you a favor and take it out..

That is normal, the skin around the piercing is just healing. The same thing occured when I had by lip pierced. If you are really concerned about it I would suggest going back to the place where you got pierced and ask them any questions you might have, I'm sure that they are asked questions like this all the time. Good Luck and enjoy your Piercing!

Yeah it's quite normal for piercings to get puss a while after you first get them. They usually don't have puss right when they're first pierced, actually. I find it's usually a week or so when it starts coming, it means it's beginning to heal.
There is a different sort of puss that comes from infection, it's more creamy and smells like... uh, infection. But if it was infected it would be sore and you'd definitely notice.

It is part of the natural healing process. keep an eye on it and if you see ooze, redness and swelling around the peircing inside and out, then it is infected but you have caused trauma to the area and it is trying to heal. Keep going with your cleaning regieme. If your worried head back to the peircing shop and get it looked at

If it doesnt hurt it shouldnt be a problem, If it worries you and you had a good peircer you should be able to ask them. and they should give you good advice, I have had my lip peirced for 3 years and my tongue for 4 years and have had no problems, And dont listen to people who dont think you should have done it or tell you to do everyone a favor and take it out. its your body not theirs! Good luck!

This is just me, but I would have never gotten my lip pierced in the first place. Maybe its twinkie cream.... I don't know. Ask a person who pierces lips.
