Medium brown hair has alot of dark pigment. You can only lift two levels with color. So if you are lts say a level 4-5 which is medium brown you could go to a possible 6.5 which is lt brown and or very dark blonde. Your best bet is to have a few blonde highlights put in your hair. I think it always looks better when you have highlights and your hair is not one color. If you look closely at any head of hair you will see various colors. Be careful your hair does not go brassy if you use color. Its hard to cut thru dark pigment.

It depends on how much natural red tones in in your hair. If you try to go more than a shade higher, then it will be more of a reddish copper color than blonde. It might be best to go have a heavy highlight done first. This would give the apperance of blonde hair.

well the ponly thing i know to do is. maybe just by the sun in the summer. i don't think i'd use lemon juice. but i think that the best way and safest way is to go ahead and get your hair lightened by a proffessional.
