well, honesty is always the best policy. And what do you have to lose,..if he rejects you at least this heavy crush you have for him will be over and you can start looking for someone else

Be confident,walk past him,look him in the eye, smile and say hi. Then keep walking. It will make him curious about you. Next time you see him, say hi and make another comment like if your in the same class " maths sucks, i'm so bored" something like that. Just be confident.
