Looks like Tony Stewart might have a little competition come Sunday.. And remember.. Gordon didnt get a good chance to run upfront with him during the Bud Shootout, due to electronic malfunctions... Maybe a Chevy 1-2 finish!

Yeah, he won but his little @$$ failed inspection after the race.
He's starting 42nd on Sunday.
What's with all of the freaking cheaters?!?

Both good drivers and they both had really good cars and they also had really good drafting partners in the race. Everything is imporant at Daytona and everything counts on raceday, and its going to be awesome seeing Tony and Jeff start in row 2 together on Sunday, I bet one of those two take the Checkered at the end and I bet they could even finish 1-2, as they are both great drivers, no matter how much I dislike Stewart I will admit that he has alot of talent, and Jeff Gordon did pull a great move at the end on Kurt Busch, I would of been extremely dissapointed to have Kurt Busch or Matt Kenseth win the race as I hate both drivers, and even though he is my drivers teammate I would of not been happy to see Kyle Busch win it either, but its still better then the other two. It's no biggie, even though I'm not a Jeff Gordon fan, I know he will charge right through the field and be fighting for the lead with my favorite driver Tony Stewart, this should be a great race, but I'll miss it

Gordon doesn't like the way his car is handling while tony seems content. Im sure tony and Jr will be hooking up. Gordon will finish good though im sure. He could win, i mean this is the Daytona 500. Anyone could win. Remember Derike Cope?

so what are they checking the 24 car for right now....or what did they find that NASCAR isnt happy with.

"Just when it looked like racing would snatch the spotlight from the cheaters at Daytona, Jeff Gordon's winning car failed inspection."

"Gordon, who won the second of Thursday's two 150-mile qualifying races, will now start the Daytona 500 in 42nd place.

NASCAR inspectors said his Chevrolet was almost an inch too low but blamed it on a part failure -- not cheating. He was not stripped of the victory."......yahoo.com

Oh my,, you didn't hear???? Gordons car failed post race inspection. Something about a suspension bolt coming loose. Seems as though one of the pit crew used the wrong bolt. He will start at the rear. But, no big deal. By the 20th to 30th lap, he will be close to the front. There is no driver, and I mean none,,,who can run Daytona as well as him. He leads all drivers with wins there.

just because he won today at daytona doesn't mean he will sunday. things change real fast at daytona. besides, both tony and jeff are not using the same cars they did for the shootout.

Yeh, how bout that #24 car? He got a little slap on the hand for an "unintentional" malfunction......He should have gotten more than bumped to 42nd place..............

There not checking Gordon's car for anything. Every car is checked with a fine tooth comb ask Ray, Jack and Michael. Last years whiners are cheating big time already!
