We are flying from Indianapolis to Orlando. We have no idea what is allowed on a plane..... Any honest answers are greatly appreciated! I have heard that you are not allowed to bring liquids, clippers, soap, hair gels.....ect. Do we have to buy all we need when we get there? Please let me know if there is a certain site to go to for all the legal info. thanks! Also, any suggestions on things we ought to bring? Me and my husband are going alone with none of our kids.

I went last week. heres the deal.
You can put anything "dangerous" in the luggage you are checking in for underneath the plane. So your large bottles of liquids/gels can go in your larger suitcases but they should proabably be in a plastic bag so they do not explode under pressure. You can also put your clippers razors and other sharp things in your large suitcases.

your carry on baggage is very specific. all of the liquids/gels/lotions you want to take on the plane have to fit into a quart size baggy. each individual item in the baggy must be 3 oz or less. if not, they will throw it away. you cant have any sharp metals, razors, or things like that in your carry on. i would suggest only putting a change of clothes and hygene necessities in your carry on so if the large luggage is lost for a day or two, you will have a change of clothes for the next day. and in certain situations, you might have a bad weather day and have to spend the night in an airport (its not fun) and you will not have anything to do. you can keep your keys, cell phone, laptop, and other electronics in your carry on also. if you need more specifics, go to your airline's site and they have a link for the specifics. i used www.delta.com. email me if you have other questions =]
