Simply because he upset you? What it he upsets you again tomorrow, that day after that? Will you get off early every time you boss upsets you? That's not a very smart and mature thing to do. Be professional about it. In life, not just at work, you'll meet so many other people who'll upset you, you can't keep on walking away. You have to learn to deal with it, especially your boss. Also put yourself in your boss' shoes, would you want your staff member to get off early simply because you upset him/her? You have a job to do. Do it. Professionalism.

Bosses have a job to do. If they took the time to make sure every employee wasnt upset then nothong would get done.
I am a boss and I would fire you for even thinking about this.

seems like you are very sensitive. maybe you should leave early. but your boss will probably upset you a lot. but you can't leave all the time. if you can stand it, maybe you should find some place else to work.

So when your husband pisses you off will you divorce him..... When the kids really piss you off, because they will, will you walk out on them. If your boss pissed you off tell them at a later time when you know it will not work against you. By the way what did your boss DO?

if you leave early, you would be the one taking the loss on your paycheck not your boss.
