PREFACE: Im agnostic

Muhammad claimed that he was visited by an slow-poke angel named "jibreal" who piece-mealed him the Quran over 20+ years!

Guess what...MUHAMMAD WAS THE ONLY WITNESS TO HIS OWN PROPHETHOOD! Any compartive religion scholars here? If so, tell me one other religion where a professed prophet didnt have other witnesses to his prophethood.

Its hillarious, usually the people who make up religions are smart enough to claim that there were other witnesses or provide some support by others.

When you study Islam, this is one of the many many amazing things. You sit back and go "wait, so the Quran never alleges that any other Muslims witnessed Muhammad constant angel visits? I mean, literally no other Godly sign that this was the prophet, other than from the lunatics lips?"

Imagine a New Testament with no disciple witness accounts. For example, the book of "John" under Islam would merely be about what Muhammad commanded John to do. Prophethood assumed already.

You are correct. The Jews and Christians of his day did not regard him as a prophet because he said many false things including it was ok to worship the ancient Arab gods. Had he made that speech in old Israel, he wouldve been stoned to death for teaching to break the 1st commandment.

Muhammad indeed never did any miracles. There is only one instance where he and his followers witnessed some kind of darkening of the moon. But typically along with prophethood comes signs and miracles directly form the prophet which Muhhamad refused to do and was not able to.

It wasn't "John Smith" it was the prophet Joseph Smith and there were 11 witnesses who saw and held the plates and their testimonies are recorded at the first of the Book of Mormon. Get your info right so you don't look silly.

To the question, it reminds me a little of what we learned about on Sunday in studying the New Testament...it was where people were asking Jesus why they couldn't see the same miracles others had seen. He basically said just because YOU didn't see it doesn't mean that they didn't happen... AND seeing doesn't always cause believing.
My two cents, I Mormon.

something else to undergo in strategies is that Jesus is stated as a "corresponding ransom" and the "final Adam". those 2 words on my own positioned him right into a classification different than God himself. He become born as a human, yet a suited human. That took divine intervention on Jehovah's area to make specific that a suited guy become born that is equivalent (and in easy terms equivalent, no longer extra suited) to Adam, who had bought mankind into slavery and suited dying for all and sundry. So with the help of Jesus being the subsequent suited guy, he could pay a value to offset the existence lost with the help of Adam. He could become a exchange 'father" to the whole human race as Isaiah calls Jesus. As a human, he could no longer devoid of Jehovah's backing carry out miracles, etc. yet Jehovah provided Jesus along with his holy spirit, and that's what gave Jesus the dazzling presents he had - no longer by using fact he become God or God/guy.

And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
"Jesus saith to him, Thomas because thou has seen me, thou hast believed;blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed." -John 20:29
"And why call ye me, Lord, Lord and do not the things that I say".-Luke 6:46
Christ was not crucified for performing miracles, or his teachings. He was crucified because of his testimony that he had come in the name of the Father. Even the ones who put him to death testified of him. Even his enemies acknowledged him.
"And Jesus stood before the governor : and the governor asked him , saying, Art thou the king of the Jews And Jesus said to him, Thou sayest." -Matthew 27:11.
"Pilate saith unto them, what shall I do then which Jesus which is called Christ..." -Matthew 27:22
Even the thief on the cross:
"And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou cometh into thy kingdom" -Luke 23:42.
These are some of the most important teachings of the Bible.
Christ WAS witnessed by the Apostles, who KNEW he was God.
Mary Magdalene (knew too AND Mary and Joseph of course.(Luke Ch.1)
As a Christian you could cite the whole of the Gospels that ARE witness accounts.

John Smith did this with Mormons. God gave him special gold books, which he wouldn't show anyone until he had a substantial amount of cash from followers, and spoke to him alone in his back yard in NY.

why are you so worried about islam? why do you spend this much time on here mocking it? a lot of people on here bash islam but you're the only one who seems obsessed with it. no one is asking you to convert i could care less what you think about islam. your words dont have any affect on anyone. muslims will not convert because you told them you dont like islam you are only wasting your own time

Muslims need to mull over that for a while. The biggest proof that he was prophet according to him was his mole on his back and maybe the fact that he was epileptic.

Look, stop insulting other religions, except atheism, cause atheism is illogical.
Muhammed probly did not get spiritual contact, but the majority of his teachings are morally sound.

Mormons (LDS) - Joseph Smith Jr.

No one was with JSJ when he was visited (there were three different accounts by JSJ as to who, when and where the angel approached him.)

He couldn't be trusted with earthly matters, let alone spiritual ones.
