It depends. I believe that communication is key. My fiancee and I used to jokingly debate over whose turn it was to do what in our relationship (ask to be boyfriend/girlfriend, make it serious, take it to the next level, propose, etc). Well as it turns out, I proposed to him. But we had already talked about it enough to know that we would both be ok with it. Some girls arent' ok with that. Some guys arent' ok with that. Get to know the person first and see how they feel about it. Or just press your luck and try.

Actually when the girl asks out the guy it shows that she knows what she wants and is willing to go for it. A lot of guys find that attractive

I don't see a problem with it. But I know that there are people out there that do. Some guys have ego issues, and wanna do the asking themselves.
In other words, I say that it IS OKAY for a girl to ask a guy out. Guys just think it's their job to do that stuff, and if you ever meet a guy like that, let him be and let him do that himself if he has ego issues.

It doesnt matter. Although some guys find it attractive when a girl shows enough confidence to ask him out.

We're so sick of having to swallow the butterflies in our stomach and go out on a limb every time we like a girl!
But consider whether you want to or not. If you have to make the first move, are you always going to remind him of it? Are you going to tell him he's not much of a man because YOU asked HIM out?

It's the guys job. Drop subtle hints and flirt a little. If he really likes you, he will ask YOU out, unless he's too shy. If he's too shy to ask you out, you probably won't like him anyway. It'll likely make for a boring date.
