I have two friends, both named Joe Smith. They were born at the exact same time (which means that if you froze time, they would have both been "born"), yet one of my friends is now 14 years old, and the other friend is now 3 years old. Why?

They were at different locations. One was born on February 28, or March 1according to his location on the Earth, while one was born on February 29, which explains why he is only 3.

hmm probably they were born in two different places which follow different calendars, eg the english and the lunar calendar. They were born at the same time, which is during a leap year on 29th feb according to the english calendar. the 3 years old guy follows the english calendar and the 14 years old guy probably follows the lunar calendar or something like that.

the 3 year old was born on a leap year and the 14 year old was born in a regular year becaues leap year only comes evert 3 years

eithe rthey were born at the same time of different years, or say one was bornin new york at 12:00am on march 1, and the other was born in washington at 9:00pm on feb 29, cause it was a leap year
