Hello, i am a 17 and i am a girl. I have a woman friend at work who is older than me. I would like to tell her some things in japanese because she came from japan about 16 years ago.

She likes to teach me how to write and speak. She has only 3 sons and she told me that i am like a daughter to her. I would like to tell her and or write to her these things:

1.I love you mother

2.You are my best friend

3.You are my favorite teacher

4.Am I doing well in my studies?

Please and thank you! I know certian words but not phrases.

I know you want to show her your gratitude, but it's better to show her what you can do to *your* ability and not what someone else can do to theirs. Just because you don't know phrases doesn't mean you can't do those ones yourself; especially given that something like "You are my best friend" and can just be said as "best friend" in Japanese with the other party still understanding it completely.

Teachers like seeing their students advance on their own, not just see them go to others to have it done.

I would translate it into too perfect Japanese if I did since I'm a native Japanese. I think too perfect Japanese never impress your friend.

First, translate it by yourself. And email it to me. I'm willing to correct it to make sense.
