When an email is received,can you find out from where it was sent? I,e. caller ID?

Yes it can be traced. How do you think the FBI and police catch all the internet predators. IP addressess, that is how. Some can be hidden, but most email is very easily tracked back to the exact computer that sent it. Of course, you have to have the know how. It is not as easy as caller ID.

email is sent via internet.it cant be traced like a caller id.you can report it as spam tho.the person sending the email may not even be using a land line.may be using a lan modem.
