A Pastor stays in one place/ church and is like a shepherd of the flock of Christ (Jesus is the Good Shepherd.) A Priest is a Christian who can be a witness of someone who confesses Jesus Christ Lord and converts. Jesus is the High Priest (because he obeyed God the Father to the point of death on the cross) to whom the Priesthood leads one to. The Priesthood also prays for others, and we confess sins one to another if the Lord, our High Priest leads to.
Also, most important. You can't be a Pastor unless you are a born again Christian, and the Lord has called you to that office. The Lord is the one who calls to the office of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors & Teachers. There has to be an anointing for it given of the Lord.

A Monk and a Pastor are slightly different in some areas, and really different in others, so first you need to know which one you're into.
If you want a REALLY good answer on how a pastor should be, look ni the new Testaments letters Ephesians, 1 and 2 Timothy, Ephesians, Titus, and Corinthians. Look in the other letters for even more info. It's all right there.

Well, a christian pastor's duties include making sure the collection plate gets passed around as much as possible and eating all the potluck he can. The priest has to give special "communion" to all the young lads in his congregation, and the monk just has to keep his mouth shut and meditate all the time.
