I watched a TV documentary about this and it suggests it was a medical experiment to find a drug for malaria taking blood from monkeys because they have never had malaria. This new drug from monkey's blood was tested on humans (and of cause these b@star*s used the African people for their experiment) and somehow this went badly wrong. The drug mutated inside human and turned into Aids/ HIV.
Please forgive me if I offended anyone. Respect.

Like you I was a little stunned, but on thinking about it I really can not make up my mind. This is such an emotional issue. HIV is controllable with medication. But should we pay for the long term medical costs, when our health system is in such disarray. There are already guidelines in place for people suffering medical conditions one example that comes to mind TB, so why has HIV been isolated. I am confused I am beginning to think that maybe the topic creates discussion while the government have other things going on. I am not saying that this is not an honest topic but did I hear the American's have made a similar statement.

Most vaccines are created by infecting animals with the disease in question, then drawing their blood or fluid, then leaving the virus until it is in a weak state, then injeceting it into a human and that's when we develope antibodies against the virus. There were experimental polio trials in the Congo involving chimps. It is said that they may have been already infected with SIV and it made the jump to humans and became HIV. So while trying to cure one disease we created another. There's a book by Edward Hooper which looks at this theory, it's called 'The River' but it's hard to get hold of a copy.

Like a great many human pathogens, HIV is almost certainly an animal pathogen that has jumped to the human host. Origin is almost certainly from chimps in Cameroon, and is a mutated version of SIV, a common chimp virus.
Conspiracy theories abound but are largely unfounded.

It came from Africans butchering undercooked monkeys. The virus jumped species via mutations in the Simian Immunodeficiency Virus. HIV2 is very similar to SIV genetically and in structure. That's the most likely cause.

I think AIDS always existed but it was never an issue until our society became such a multi cultural places where people from all places come to live or travel. That is why diseases from other countries get spread. I live it once lived in animals and some how got spread to us and yes people can be born with it if their mother is infected.

African cheerleaders for the Congolese cricket team. They were very promiscous and they're lackadaisical mindset about sex made them a virtual team of sexaholics, never turning down men, boys or even other women in every town they traveled to. Needless to say, they were very popular on road trips by all, except international cheerleader competitions. They were shunned from them.

It has been around a long time in monkeys in West Africa, that is the 'reservoir' of the virus, i.e. where it always has a place.
It was first noted in that region in humans in the 1930s, when presumably it mutated and became able to jump the species barrier.

I dont have any specific answer for his question. I just wanted to see how many idiotic people said gay people. I was suprised that only one idiot had!
Suppose we need to give it a bit more time....
I would like to state that HIV and AIDS at this present time is actually on the increase in heterosexual people more than it is in gay people.

the same place as every other virus came from. A better question is how long has it really been around...Maybe millions of years but doctors and scientists just discovered it...and there could be and are many other viruses not even known about yet....scary huh???
