my boyfriend is telling me that he wants to marry our co-worker so she can get legal residence here in the U.S. first i thought he was kidding but now he is 4 real. he says that you make more money if your married and ill benefit him too. he says hes doing it just for benefit. shes my friend and now i dont know if i should start thinking bad. should I? i told him i wont accept it. what do I do? is he playing or just acting dumb? HELP!

What he is doing is illegal! You probably know this already. Personally I would tell him that he's stupid for trying this. If or when he gets caught he will definitely face fines and might do jail time. She'll be deported and it will be a stain on his records. Look he's friends with her and you are friends with her and that's great but there is a limit of what friends can do for each other and this is over the limit. Look whatever you decide to say or not to say to him is your own business but . . .
I just think he could throw his life away by doing this.

A lot of people get married to people for them to get legal citizenship, but it isn't good. It doesn't benefit people who arent really together and don't plan on having kids or making purchases such as a house ect... I wouldn't accept it. Its not liek he said that he was going to marry her for her to become legal and than divorce her. He plans on staying married

Your boyfriend sounds like someone who is looking for an easy way out, instead of trying to work his way thru life seems to me he wants a handout, get rid of the IDIOT and find yourself a real man

Tell him to check into it VERY carefully.. I know someone who did just that and was actually doing it for the right reasons.. and they still had plenty of probllems for close to 3 years before he was free and clear.. MArraige to a US citizen does not automatically gurantee rights to be here anymore.

does it matter ? if he cared about you he would take the benifit of your love than any financial or feel good benifit. matbe hes just a boy you are friendly with and not your boyfriend.
