Get to know the dog and the name will reveal itself to you. The best Rotty I ever knew was named Alice until my friend got her, and we discovered her REAL name was Sweetheart. At first all you need to do to call them is to train them to respond to PUPPY or DOGGIE and then start working the name in gradually. As long as you sound like it's a jolly party when you call them, it doesn't matter if their name is Ignatz or Doofus or Darling.. they will come.
I like to think of very WRONG names for dogs.. like yours could be called Tiny - it always brings a chuckle at the vet's office.
Congrats and enjoy.

May I offer you one invaluable bit of advice for training your dog?
Consistency. Keep it simple. Be consistent. Be the boss with a loving but firm hand. Consistency. One Syllable sentences plus name. Anything more is tuned out.
Have fun.

Bear, because they were bred to hunt bears and their tails were docked to avoid the bear having a target.
