Thu beannann an chlann Higgins ar an La Naoimh Pádraig. - This is only my poor attempt of translation... Literally: The Higgins Clan blesses you on the day of Saint Patrick.

Éireann go braigh. - Ireland forever.

Here are two alternative (and more likely correct) blessings.

Sláinte chuig na fir agus go maire na mná go deo! - Health to the men and may the women live forever!

Go bhfága Dia do shláinte agat. - May God spare you your health.

This is the translation of 'The whole Higgins clan want to wish you a happy St. Patrick's Day. Ireland forever.'

Ba mhian muintir Higgins go léir, Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona daoibh. Éireann go brách.

You can't translate the Irish language literally from a dictionary.

Fluent, accurate, native speakers of Irish Gaelic are hard to come by, unfortunately, and Scottish Gaelic is probably extinct for all practical purposes. Some people consider Mary Stewart of Sutherland, who died in 1972, to be the last true speaker of Scottish Gaelic.

You can ask around on Irishgaelictranslator.com first although this site is very hit-or-miss and does not guarantee accuracy. I'm told that some Catholic churches have nuns who teach Irish Gaelic. Some of them might be able to help or give you some information about the nearest native speaker living in your area. Sometimes, stores and gift shops that specialize in selling Irish imports know of a nearby native speaker.

I have always sent my English-Gaelic tranlsation requests to Berlitz Globalnet. They are professional and accurate, even more accuarate than the Irish government in their Gaelic translations. However, they are expensive too. They charge a flat rate for something like 300 words minimum. So, you would want to send in more sentences to them than just one in order to get your money's worth.
