This new exchange student came in September, as the new second semester began in high school he (17 year old male) and I had the 2 of the same classes.... For the first time we actually got to talking!!! :)
The next day of the semester i offered for him to sit with myself and 2 other people in a group and he did! we talked and laughed! and my friend asked him on the internet messenger what he thought of me and he said that i was "sweet". Since this day 3 weeks passed and he always waits for me after class, he stares at me during class..... he also sits beside me every chance he gets and tries to talk to me when we are together! My other male friend is always with me... and sometimes i feel that he is trying to compete.... but I am not sure if he is competing for my friendship??? or something more.....?

Well if he's flirting then I would definately say that he wants more than just friendship. But if your other male friend has said that he feels like he's competing then it could also mean that your other male friend likes you too. I would ask both of them how they feel about you. For instance say "I was just wondering, do you like me as a friend or something more?" And if anything just tell them that your friend heard from someone that they liked you. But if you completely object to asking them then just have a friend do it. That always works. So hope that helps and good luck!

Sounds like you are the one who likes him. He is looking for you because you offer a helping hand on a new environment. There is the probability that he likes you more than what it seems. yes. If you don't like him for "something else" than just a friendship, then just keep you life as normal. Don't stop helping him. Understand that he is in a new place and probably you have been more friendly that others and he might need someone to show him around.

He may be competing for your friendship but if he has feelings for you then he will say something about it and not just talk about it or imply it. If you like him keep yourself open but he is an exchange student sooner or later he'll have to go back. Good luck sweetie!
