There really are not any symptoms that you get before you get the flu (influenza). It comes on very rapidly. You will get a high fever, nausea, muscle aches, headache (mainly from the fever), and often get a cough and sore throat. It is very important to drink lots of fluids, sipping all throughout the day, because there have been people who have gone into shock due to the lack of fluids.

However, when you get a virus which most people refer to as the flu you do get some symptoms before hand. It is different for everyone, but often times people are tired and start off with a cold. I actually have the virus right now(not the real flu). The first symptoms for me were a cough and feeling tired. The next day i got a fever and started vomiting. I talked to my doc and he said that this virus is lasting about a week and includes: cough, nausea, vomiting, fever, diarrhea, and a sore throat. It is also contagious until you are better so if you get it make sure you stay home.

Hope your not getting the bug and this has helped some.
