Well, there are a couple of choices really
1. Ring Bearer
2. Groom's man ( Usher )
3. He could give you away ( that would be cool )
It's great you are involving him, that's so cool
Congratulations

ring bearer would play a perfect role for your son, its a important part for the ring boy and it would be perfect seeing as hes only eight. You could have him do other things as well such as he could do a reading from the bible, or there is this sand thing lots of people are doing, where you get this special sand and have this see through vase that your groom, your son and you place sand in this vase, each person has a different colour. You can look it up on the internet. You keep the sand vase for memories.

It would be cool to have him be your best little man. And when (if) you do a unity candle (when the bride and groom each take a candle and then light a 3rd candle as a symbol of 2 flames becoming 1) it would be sweet to acknowledge that he is a part of the relationship and have him be a part of lighting it.

It's really up to you. Typically kids his age would be a ring bearer, but since he is your son I think it woul be adorable of he stood up with you.

My Grandson gave his Mother's hand at my daughters second
marriage. I've seen younguns at that age as ringbearers,grooms-
men and ushers. Guess it depends on if he's mature enough to
do what you'd like him to do without taking away from the cere-mony.

Absolutely!!! I would have him up there -- either way, ask him which he would prefer. God Bless on the upcoming wedding!

Does he want to have a part in the play?
Maybe he should be best man?
