It amazes me how stupid some people can be.

People, this is not for debate. Its a very straight forward thing. RELIGION is a sub-group of BELIEFS. Theres are many different types of beliefs in the world. Some beliefs are bad or have a negative impact on humanity as a whole. Nazism was one such belief.

"Religion cant be bad, only people can be".

This is stupidity beyond stupidity. People are the religion. There is no separate "pure and magical" religion. It exists within the people themselves. Its like saying "the internet is a separate thing from computers". No its not, the internet is merely a conglomeration of computers all over the world.

"Internet" is merely a word we use to describe how many computers communicate globally. Likewise, "Islam" is merely a word we use to describe a group of people who hold similar beliefs.

The insanity of absolving a non-existant separate "Islam" from the horror of Islamists should lead to immediate entrance into a mental institution.

The problem is youre missing the point. There is always a deeper ideal behind beliefs than merely what the people do and say. Your statements arent logically valid and heres why...

Is murder still wrong if nobody believes it?

Does 1+1 not equal 2 if nobody understands math?

There are deeper truths in existence that God has set in motion. When mankind discovers those, he is able to recognize and reflect them. But its existence is not dependent upon man to believe it. Likewise with God.

You can't be farther from a truth.
A faith or religion or belief cannot do a thing without a person acting out.

Example. A gun and a bullet.
The bullet cannot get into the gun without assistance. The gun cannot fire without an outside force.
Yes an outside force is required.
With your analogy a computer system needs an outside input, programming, for it to do the job.

Yet people still blame the gun and blame computers.

There can be no action without an outside force.
Words cannot do any harm on paper.

Insanity comes from within a person, not words.

For all the major world religions, there are both Good and Evil followers.

There are Good and Evil Buddhists.

There are Good and Evil Christians.

There are Good and Evil Jews.

There are Good and Evil Hindus.

There are Good and Evil Muslims.

There are Good and Evil Jains.

There are Good and Evil Sikhs.

And there are Good and Evil Atheists.

I'm not sure how you can prove otherwise, and if you can't do that, then I'm not sure anything else you've said makes any difference.

But apparently, I'm stupid beyond stupidity.

OK, as long as we agree not to absolve a non-existent separate "Christianity" from the horror of Christians.

Otherwise extremists of any religion are bad - not the entire group.

This is also not a debate... Any religion that teaches anything other than the true word of God and does not teach salvation through accepting Jesus as His son who died on the cross for our sins is not of God but of satan who uses other religions to confuse people away from God. satan is the auther of confusion. The Lord our God is truth.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Outside of Chrisitanity which is of Christ our Lord, all other religions teach and worship other gods and not the Almighty God.

Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Exodus 23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

Judges 10:13 Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.

Here is a great website where your question can get a really good answer about that subject. I hear that religion is what separated the world. I am told it is the worse thing that ever happened, because if people just continued to follow Jesus instead of having religion we would not be fighting over who's religion is better.

Have you ever read the Quran or the Bible? Both are twisted beyond belief. Not all religions are like these of course.

Religions are a set of rules, based on what one believes.

Did you have a question, or was this just an opportunity for you to state your thoughts and put down others for their own perception of things. Judging by your post here it seems that you should be a bit smarter than that....

Religions are just concepts and ideas. Concepts and ideas never hurt anyone. But their followers, the people that believe in those concepts and ideas, can most definately hurt people.
