I have booked flights through thomson if any of the party cancel would they get their money back??

it depends on the situation and how long you have to travel they may charge a canx fee but check with the travel agent

No. Not without insurance and a very valid reason for the cancellation.

Check the small print - otherwise, hopefully they had cancellation insurance which may/may not cover the reason for cancelling.
