Yes its safe. I am a pet groomer and your pet should be groomed every 6-8 weeks depending on its coat. In your case, since your dog has lots of hair and gets dirty easily its safe to do it weekly. But no more than that. In an emergency (like a trip to the dog park, or chasing your neighboors cat down the street in the rain) (there is just some things that shouldn't happen to a white dog, you know...) you can use a puppy shampoo (I always keep some around the house) because its mild enough to use it more than once week. And make sure its tearless, which helps since most dogs tend to hate or fight the whole bath thing. Show dogs get groomed frequently, and look how beautiful they are. They key is to rinse, rinse, rinse out all the shampoo, when you think you got it all out, rinse again. I mean really put that hose (or nozzle to your tub or shower) right up to the dogs body, and look for the water to turn from soapy white to clear. The second key is to brush the dog a lot. Before bathing and after drying. Some need it everyday and\or while drying like you dog. I have groomed coton's and on one it took me two hours just to get him brushed out after he had been in a kennel behind a dryer for several hours. Lets not even go there on how long it took to brush him out before his bath... And also for your dog, I would suggest investing in a high velocity pet dryer and brush with a slicker brush while you blowdry to get the fluffy look. Also spritz on a doggie detangler before you crank up the blowdryer. It will be easier on yor hands and wrists, and be less painful for the dog to get brushed out. Wet dogs have a curious and very distinctive smell. Apparently, the oil in the dog's coat reacts with the water and the pungent aroma results. I'm not sure of the cause but recommend a well-ventilated drying area for grooming, lol. The faster the coat is dried, the faster the aroma disappears. It is then replaced with the lovely smell of shampoo. And thas the end! Hope I was able to help you! Good Luck! :)

They lose too many natural oils after awhile and it weakens the coat.
But would not what the dog does and how dirty it gets have something to do with bathing? They love bathing if they are conditioned to it when they are very young.
I loved my Old English fluffy white, but most of the time that lasted a few hours after the big bath. Despite my hard work keeping her groomed she always had a dirty edge to the tips of her coat.
However this is a wee breed. If she is doing ok, keep it up but cut down if her skin begins to look dry.

i don't comprehend approximately in easy terms two times a 300 and sixty 5 days, yet I do think of as quickly as a week could be too lots for her pores and skin. Def. positioned money right into a robust dry shampoo. And for once you do wash her, wash with a robust moisturizing oatmeal shampoo. you additionally can get those cleansing wipes to apply throughout the time of the week to maintain down the smell.=]

I wouldn't bathe her any more than once a week because her skin might dry out. But if she likes it and you do to, then go for it. (Use a gentle doggy shampoo. A human shampoo might be a little too harsh when used with that frequency)

hi, its really too much for her.
she needs to have the natural oils in her skin in order to have a completely healthy coat. i can see what you mean by wanting her to look good, so here's some options:
1. instant wash spray: you can put this on as a substitue for bathing, just spray in fur and rub out, its soo easy!
2. groomer: if you wanna spend a bit of extra cash, take her to the groomers for the day.
3. daily self-grooming: brush her out daily and it will get all the dander from her fur, therefore making her coat shiner.
good luck!

I wouldn't do it once a week. Maybe once a month. She should be able to keep herself clean on her own. Also, make sure you rinse out all the shampoo. It could dry her skin out!

Actually if you bathe them too often they will start to loose their hair. I would at least bump it to once every other week

You should really only bathe them when they are dirty or smelly. If you over wash them they will get dry skin.
