I can't seem to find a snack that is tasty, healthy, and not expensive. Suggestions?

I like those tiny thin pretzel sticks with a bite of cheese, or the Philadelphia Chive (soft) Cream Cheese in the round container.
Also, a slice of toast/butter (use a nice whole grain for healthy) or a hot flour tortilla/butter, salt fills the whole up, ha; you know that, "I need something in my stomach" feeling.
Freeze whole white grapes (don't even have to wrap them). Addictive...especially in summer.
Banana and skim milk is my favorite. Something about the sweet of the skim milk and the way the 2 combine are very satisfying to me.
Triscuits/cheddar.
I don't eat much. Just dinner late with my hubby. He works late so we eat late; hate that.

Very Gillian McKeith style....but try seeds, nuts and dried fruit! You can buy them quite cheaply in larger bags. For instance try a local food market place.
Fruit is really good too; oranges, apples, kiwis, etc. Still not that expensive if you buy whatever is on offer that week at your local supermarket.
Or....try raw carrots, peppers, cucumber pieces, etc. Again, not that expensive and if you cut them up and put them in the fridge they are always to hand.

mm i read this breakfast recipe in a covergirl issue not too long ago. i thought it was yummy.

you need:

a banana
a tortilla
peanut butter!

first you chill the banana for a bit, but not too long, or it'll go brown.
then you spread some peanut butter onto the tortilla (the thickness of it is up to you). then you wrap the banana in the tortilla (could get tricky, since bananas are kinda curved, but it's for the sake of eating it, not presenting it). enjoy!

if you dash a little cinnamon inside the tortilla wrap, it might give it a bit of a sugary kick. ;)
