Read your credit card statement. Send a dispute letter in writing, just make it a few sentences. You have to do it in writing.

Call your credit card company. You want them to investigate the charges. You will sign an affidavit indicating that to your knowledge neither you nor any authorized party made those charges. They should reverse the charges pending investigation.

I would also cancel the old card and get a new card issued.

Speaking as a nationally known credit score and lending expert (book, radio shows, newspaper columns, etc.):

Yes, happens to me sometimes. I call my credit card company. For amounts like $25, the credit card company will eat it. For such small amounts (below $25 or $30 depending on the bank) they don't even try to get it back from the company that charged you.

Yep, they did that to me too once. You have to call them at the number on your statement and complain. They will take it off and credit you for those charges.

Yes.... And it was the Credit card company itself screwing me over... Capital One charged me twice for one purchase to which I told them their lawyers fees will cost them more than their screw up.

Stay away from Capital One.... by all means.
