Humans try and see order and structure in everything in life, because that is how our brains work. While there is an abnormally high percent of things in nature having a purpose right down to the cellular level, that is not always the case.
We don't understand even 1/10th of the universe, and porbably never will know how it works precisely, but to say that it is structured for the time being is not something that can be proven. Even going back on Stephen Hawkin's reserach trying to proove the existence of God could not be done, and he is the smartest person alive today. Shows how intelligent humans really are if we leap to conclusions without studying things for thousands of years to have even a vague of how something like a blackhole would really work other than how we have seen them from telescopes.

Life is a miraculous thing yes, and the natural structures and processes (gravity, dark matter, black holes, etc.) are marvelous, but they DO NOT serve as evidence that some 1500 year old book is right.
They're not even evidence that there is a god, and if we somehow discovered that there is a higher power, the odds of it being the christian god are around 10 trillion to 1 against.

Maybe the universe, broken down into smaller components like our planet, creates life as an expression of It's own Being. We are works of art, maybe.

The universe is NOT self-sustaining. That idea has been refuted for quite some time now.
