I really like my friend, let's just call him "Bob." We've grown up as friends, practically like family, but I've always had a crush on him. Anyway, I need ideas on sweet, cute, things that I can do for him...not necessarily for him, but to impress him, maybe? Like, my Choir Concert/ Fish Fry is next month, and I thought I'd invite him...he goes to a different school. I want to ask him to my town's Fall Festival in September...long ways away, I know...and maybe make him a mix CD for his birthday in three weeks. Are these bad ideas? Do you think he'd get the hint (that I like him) if I invited him to one of my volleyball games? (His family would most likely be at one anyway, but what if I just asked him?) I guess I really don't know what I'm saying here, LOL, but I just need to know if these are bad ideas....I don't want to scare him off, or try to hard...I just want to get closer to him, and hang out with him more...please give me some good ideas, and let me know if mine are good.

I wouldn't worry about scaring him off. You have good ideas and you know the things he likes. Go ahead and ask him to the Concert/Fish Fry and whatever else. And when you do, talk to him. Tell him how you feel. You may be surprised to find he likes you as well. Good luck.

I think your ideas are good...they're tame enough not to seem overwhelming to him...and I think that if you do those things together you might get a better idea if he likes you. Relationships that come fromt strong friendships are sometimes risky, but I believe completely worth it in the end. I wish you luck!

if you do all that and he doesn't get the hint that you like him, forget him because it'll show how stupid he is

otherwise take a risk, you don't want to be 80 and wondering if not taking the chance was the choice
