As a mental health practitioner with 20+ years running a mental health clinic, now retired, I can shed a little light on the subject. A psychiatrist that I once worked with said (and I try to quote from memory, pretty accurately I think), " I have never called a medicine a 'medicine from hell', but if I were to call a medicine such, Xanax would be it". He said that as the staff were staffing their cases, and one psychologist presented her client's issues, and said that she was taking Xanax. I remember back then that Xanax was seen as rather "volatile", to use my own expression, in that it could easily be abused and that the clients it was prescribed to were the most likely to take their medicine "other than prescribed", meaning not enough or too much, and not according to schedule. Paxil, on the other hand, has always been seen as a very secure and responsive medicine. I'm surprised, having diagnosed many an individual, that you were diagnosed OCD and OCPD. Usually one diagnosis would preclude the other, unless you are a new client to the clinic and the diagnostician is trying to "rule out" one or the other, in which case they would use both as an alert to later rule out one or the other after having had you at the clinic long enough. With either OCD or OCPD diagnosis, I'm not at all surprised at the depression diagnosis, but you didn't specify WHICH depression diagnosis you received, so you've left out some significant information in order to complete the diagnostic equation. Consider the factors I have presented to you and ask your psychologist or psychiatrist about them. They'll be able to clarify them for you. God Bless you.

That's a rough bunch of diagnoses. Odds are there are medications out there that will work for you. The trick is finding the right combinations and dosages. And sticking with it long enough for your body to become used to it before deciding they don't work.
Alternatively, OCD responds best to cognitive-behavioral therapy, and even electroshock therapy. Speak to your doctor about these options.

Maybe you've been diagnosed improperly. It happens often. Maybe you're bipolar or something. =/
