My bf broke up with me via email and said he just wanted to be friends. I tried but I couldn't do that. Now he says he wants to go back to bf/gf. He said he would work really hard. The problem is that he can twist everything around to be my fault. I feel like I can't say a thing. Valentines Day, he didn't get me anything but then he found out I got him a present and went and got me some flowers late in the evening and got mad at me because I wasn't at home when he wanted to drop them off. Since he didn't ask me to do anything on Valentines, I made plans with friends. I love this man and I love what we used to have but it is really hard trying to go back especially when he says I'm being to hard on him and I'm not understanding. I was upset that he didn't get me anything for Valentines especially after promising to work hard. I think he has got me brainwashed because now I'm actually wondering if I am to hard on him. I want it to work if possible.

it seems like you really care about this guy, and he's hurt you before and that makes you vulnerable. its not right for him to treat you like that and you are NOT being to hard on him, if anything, you should be harder on him to straighten up! Tell him to get over himself and start caring about you more because YOU are the one HE wanted to be with. He is taking advantage of you by treating you like that and you shouldn't put up with it.

Don't go out with him... you're trying to fix something that can't be fixed... you can't change how he is, he'll always be that guy who blames you for everything, the guy who always gets mad at you even though he is the wrong... it won't get any better than right now, it'll only get worse. Believe me, I went out with a guy that did the same thing, but I finally woke up and got over it, which is what you need to do... you don't have to put up with his crap, there are a million guys out there who won't treat you this way.
