Apprenticeship. Its the best and pretty much sure fire way to learn properly and correctly. You'll also want to take some basic CPR and health classes, brush up on anatomy and take a course on blood borne pathogens and reducing the risk of cross contaminating things.
You'll have to start low, probably getting things ready and cleaning, or just greeting customers, but over time, you'll learn. Most apprenticeships aren't free, some people do make you pay for the knowledge you get and usually you don't make a lot of money starting off, so don't quit your day job just yet. Do what I did, I befriended my piercer, and stayed loyal to him for getting piercings done, after a while the subject came up and we got me started on it.

he best way is to take an apprenticeship from someone that has been piercing for some time and knows what they are doing. Don't let anyone tell you they know. You can't trust someone's word. Look to make sure they are in a shop and they have been in business for a few years at least. Never take their word for it, make them show you everything. I own a tattoo and body piercing studio and we've been in business for 10 years.

i have friends who are piercers. all of them started out working at the shop (that also does tattoos and sells stuff like shirts, stickers, jewelery... other "stuff". anyway, after working there for a while and showing that they were a dedicated employee they got to start an aprenticeship with the piercer/owner. that seems to be the general way in which people learn how to pierce. good luck!

An in-studio apprenticeship is extremely the only suitable thank you to become an accepted physique piercer. you could't discover ways to pierce in some hours or days- It takes MONTHS to income all the abilities mandatory to become gifted at what we do. in case you do not have the time to dedicate to working in a studio environment, physique piercing is in all threat no longer the dazzling profession for you. physique piercers usually artwork long, unsteady hours for minimum pay.

yeah, i have a friend who does it. basically you just need to either go to a piercing school, or get someone that has their license to teach you, and then take the certificiation test, once certified you can pretty much try to get a piercing job anywhere....this is for body piercing obviously, for ear piercing you dont really have to do anything, just apply some place.
