sum weird girl that i dont even like gave me a box of chocolate, but my own girlfriend didnt get me nothing for valentines day, even though i got her sumthin. we been going out for about a year n a half. i dont really care about persents or nothing that much, but it made me wonder if she cared about me.

yes it is wrong.I din't get anything either and today the 15 of feb is our 15 wedding Ann.and again nothin.I got him a nice gift and fixed him breakfast at 5am. I am a bit down about it and have been on the verge of tears all day.

Well, why don't you ask her about it? If you have been together for a year and a half, you should be able to communicate these things.
Traditionally, though, Valentine's Day is sort of a women's holiday. Guys are supposed to prove their love through romantic expression, and their girlfriends are supposed to appreciate it. It really isn't about buying "stuff". That's just corporate America's advertising campaign.
She may not have thought that she should buy you something, or there may be real trouble in your relationship. Or, she could be broke, and embarassed about it! Talk to the woman! Tell her how you feel, and ask her point blank if she cares for you. If she does, she will take your feelings seriously. If she doesn't, then you should end it.

Man I feel u. Maybe she's not into giving gifts just because it's a "special" occasion, in which case she wouldn't get u one but she wouldn't expect one either. But if she hinted that she wanted a gift then through that out of the window. In that case then, yeah she just didn't think enough of u to buy u one. She just expected 1 from u. Maybe it's because of the excuse that some women still use: that ur 'the guy' and it's not her job to be romantic to u.' or maybe she just doesn't think enough of u to buy u anything. In either of those cases, if u r a guy who values equality and mutual effort/partnership in a relationship then u should consider her reasoning. U wouldn't want to be with someone who is that driven by gender roles or who doesn't care about u or would u?

well i dont know which is worse a guy who puts a lot of money out on his girlfriend, and all she gets him is a chocolate rose. of course keep in mind hes allergic to chocolate.
i guess the item i would consider did she do anything special say have a night of romance where she dressed in something special for you to make the evening nice, did she let you choose the movie, are there things she might have done that she didnt buy for you but yet she did for you out of love and kindness? if there is a no there i might want to consider getting a new girlfriend if i were you.

First, you didn't say if you'd bought anything for your 'girlfriend' so since you didn't mention it, I'd assume you didn't get her anything either.
Second, based on your way of communicating, I'd assume you're pre-teen or mid-teen...and at that young age, I wouldn't worry too much about how 'serious' your relationship is and you should not be counting how much 'stuff' you get as an indicator of a girlfriend's affection.
Third, sounds like the 'weird girl' is trying to get your attention...might want to check her out, she may not be weird after all. Weird is usually better than popular...weird people in HS usually have better values and deeper feelings than narcissistic, know-it-all, plastic popular people.

Hello. In my opinion I am sure that she had some reason. I think that you should talk to her but be careful about what you say. If you are not careful you could insult her. In my opinion it is a little bit strange that she did not get you anything.

She could've at least of gotten you a card. No, you have the right to be offended. She sounds cheap and selfish. Reevaluate the relationship.

Talk to her and tell her how you feel. you have been together for a year and a half if you can't talk and communicate with her now you will never be able to.
