I am so very sorry for your sad news. A lot of sudden deaths where there is no illness could be due to a rupture of the aorta (the main artery to the heart). This is different to a heart attack and many people confuse the two. A post mortem will determine the actual cause of death.

One of my relatives was just 25 while he was doing exercise early in the morning he suddenly got pain in his chest and died after some hours. Doctor said it was a kind of silent heart attack. Maybe your uncle got that so.

Sudden Adult Death Syndrome events are defined as non-traumatic, non-violent, unexpected occurrences resulting from cardiac arrest within as little as six hours of previously witnessed normal health.
sorry to hear this,

there could be so many causes, like Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). most common are, acute myocardial infarction, hypoglycaemia, intracranial bleed of which rupture of aneurysm is likely. It is difficult to say what exactly was the cause of his death, but only after post mortem examination.

Coronary artery disease? Statistically, that's probably what it was. You can be a professional runner and in perfect shape and still drop dead of a heart attack.
My condolences regarding your uncle.

What was the cause of death ?
I knew a guy who fell over and died at work one day, he was only 25 and they said it was sudden adult death syndrome.
Apparently, it just means the doctors don't know why he died.
He worked in a supermarket, and a fat Jewish woman pushed a shopping trolley over his dead body because it was in the way.

He could have had an undetected heart rhythm abnormailty. Sometimes you hear of young athletes dropping dead from that.

Well, how healthy was he? Can you say that he was totally disease free just because I exercised and didn't smoke and drink?
