I am wondering if Eucher is perhaps a surname of maybe a grandmother or other relative. Looking at Ancestry.com it looks as if the immigrating Euchers came from Germany or Prussia. You would be suprised to know that there are 19 men in the World War I draft cards that have Eucher as a first or middle name and only 3 that have it as a surname.

Anyway, if you would like for me to look up a particular relative, drop me a line. Blessings.

Fun card game that came with the French-Canadians into Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. Even Bob Eucher came from a French-Canadian family from Flint Michigan.

Wikipedia says that it came with the Germans, but I've never heard that one before (part of the problem with Wikipedia being written by volunteers). But you can read more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euchre
