Thank you.
Evolution, which is the theoretical paradigm of biology, is no less a threat to religion than any other aspect of science. So where are all the problems Christians have with relativity or quantum mechanics, etc? Or maybe its just the fact that humans and chimps are closely related cousins?

Even though questions about evolution are really scientific in nature, it is the religious of the world that have turned the study of evolution into a religious subject through their fear that one day there will be positive proof that no god was needed in the creation of man.
Learn to live with it because it's not going away.

Well, there's only 2 "possibilities" that put us here on earth (God or Evolution). Both get preached like a religious philosophy on both sides. So, I think posting an "evolution" question here is befitting.

Because evolution is both the atheists soul hope, creator, and club to bash believers with. Without evolution, atheism would still be in the dark ages if it isnt already.

Hmm, what's intelligent design doing in a science class.
Oh yeah that's why evolution questions are on a religion page.

It's the atheists putting it here to pick on Christians. There is no other reason. If they were serious it'd be in the Science section.

It's a sticky issue for many religious folks. Hence, people ask about it here in order to get others to discuss it in a religious context.

Its only opposition is due to religion, therefore we bring it here to hold discussion, the only place it apparently MUST be discussed to promote intellectual progression.

because people rightfully want to know (and are inquisitive) how we came to be on this planet...I believe that belongs in this section as much as it does in the science and mathematics section
