I just washed up and another 2 lids are missing. It's a bit like the sock monster in the washing machine.

I have not bought new bottles yet. I started with 16 bottles. Yes, I know that's not normal, but tell that to the people who got me them as presents. Down to 10 now. Managed to loose a couple in the car for a week. Full. binned them.

write to the maker of the bottle (Gerber, etc) and ask for replacement lids. I've done that and they sent me a couple of lids free!

From the day I brought my daughter home, I am in the habit of taking the lids off the bottles in the kitchen (since that's where I warm the bottle anyway) so I never loose the lids.
If I'm out, I have always put the lids back on the bottles after my girl was done so I always knew where they were. I like to keep things together.
The pacifier is another story though....they just seem to disappear! I had 2, one that stayed in her room and the one that went everywhere else with us. Believe it or not, the one that NEVER left her room is now missing....explain that! lol

Ha! Thanks for the smile!
Yeah, those little buggers sneak off and escape the minute you turn your back! I usually lose them in one of 3 scenarios:
1. They fall onto the carpet or couch and are clear enough that I don't spot them right away, but not clear enough to keep the cats from playing with them. Unless I hear them on the hard wood floors, they wind up deep in the bowels of hell under my furniture.
2. I put the lid in the diaper bag, then rummage through the bag for a wipe, toy, sweater, cheerio container, etc. Since the cap's on top, if I'm not careful when I pull things out of the bag, it leaps to freedom on the floor of whatever restaurant, house, or business place I happen to be at.
3. I wash the cap and set it on a clean dish towel on the counter. Hubby or I then grab a glass or something off the same dish towel, and the cap discreetly falls into the garbage below.

Constantly. I think they should sell the bottle lids by the case. It seems like one day I have all of them and then some mystical gnome breaks into the kitchen at night and steals them.
Its very frustrating. Its like the whole sock in the dryer thing. Put 2 in and for some reason only 1 comes out.

oh yea! lol happends all the time. Ive even lost whole bottles full of milk! imagine what i saw months from then when i actually found them.... EWWWW. thank God I seemed to find them befor my son or daughter did. At least I HOPE so. I really cant give any good advice on how to keep track cause as u can see, im kinda loseing it all myself lol. Just make sure u buy extras so u have them on hand. I think moms are like this. trying to keep track of it all gets crazy sometimes especially when u have more then one child and each of them has their own things u have to keep track of. good luck to u and God Bless.
