Do anti-immigrant people realize that these new Latin immigrants are not going back where they came from?

The Irish were never sent back to Europe
The Chinesse were never sent back to Asis
And nor will these new immigrants be sent back to Latin America.

Blacks were not citizens of the USA for almost the first 100 years this country was founded. There was a movement to attempt to send them back to Africa as opposed to let them become citizens.

You're right that the anti-immigrant hatred was just as acute when those immigrants were Bohemian/Hungarians (called "Bohunks"), the Polish, the Irish ("No Irish or Dogs Allowed"), the Italians, etc. It's more extreme when the immigrants have some identifiable physical feature--skin color, or red hair--for others to target. I fully expect the Latin-Americans to contribute great things to our society, just as have the immigrants before them. But now you've got me thinking... once we're all old and gray, what will be the next group being threatened with mass deportation?

Yeah, maybe, but the Irish had a right to come to America. The deal with the blacks is that we brung them to America, but they have a right to stay here also. I have a solution to illegal immigration. Since we can't send them back, it's called a .30-06 or an AK. We need to show them that they can't come into America and "cheat the system". You don't see it as a crime. Sneaking over the border. Oh yeah. The Latin Americans will do something good for America. Hmm. Let's see, you can't hardly get a job because of them. Oh Yeah! They really ain't doing anything but hurting us. Oh and being against illegal immigrants is NOT racist. I am against them because of the FACT that they are hurting America and they are ILLEGAL! Illegal means that it is against the law. It's not us (anti-immigrants as you call it) that are ignorant. It's people like you that are ignorant.

If you want people to accept this, it has to go both ways. It can't just be Americans accepting a FLOOD of foreigners who don't integrate. The new comers have to admitt they're new comers, stop demanding (and being handed over) what we have to work long and hard for, and they need to integrate. These are not moot issues. These will be the issues whether you are for or against immigration. Yes, these people are here, deal with it...but that cannot mean rolling over for an onslaught of insults to who we are. The melting pot is already boiling. If you're going to add something to it, it better blend with what's already there or you'll ruin the soup.
And we will have to deal with who is here, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't, at some point (like now) say enough is enough. Close the borders to even more poverty stricken new comers and deal with the people (citizens and immigrants alike) who are already here.

Let the government deal with that! There are Latin immigrants that are here legally. What are you talking about. There are a lot of illegal immigrants from Russia, japan,Italy. You are right as long as bleeding hearts and fuzzy feeling libs set back on their hunches like a brainless donkey. You don't see it as a crime sneaking across the border like a cockroach in the night. Don't think that there are no criminals among them. That they all come looking for a job. Where I live there is more crime committed by Mexicans than anybody else percentage wise. I wonder why that could be, perhaps because they did not go through the weeding process of legality. Sure they offer a lot of great things, like drugs, murder, gangs and disease. That just makes me happier than ****. Open your little blind eyes.

See, it has NOTHING to do with legal immigration. It has to do with people knowingly and willingly breaking the law and entering this country.

Yes I say that the U.S. locals will notice that were not going back to latin America because Latin americans face the fact we can from thrid world natoins, we face war zones every day, there is no justice in our natvie homes, we get robed by thugs, we see that the Govt's don't give A D,A,M,N that were still here and they take to much money from us, and lastly we don't want the next generation of our kind to face thisb every day for their lifes.

All the people you mentioned were NOT illegal aliens. The illegal alien in not a legal immigrant in any way shape or form.The black Americans are just that Americans.Illegal immigration problems are due essentially to inaction of Congress, law enforcement, and ultimately American citizens. To fix our dysfunctional immigration system, Americans need to educate and change legal, political, educational, environmental, labor and religious institutions. Over-immigration is not inevitable nor is the doubling of U.S. population this century that it will cause.

Legal immigrants deserve respect. Illegal aliens are law breakers who do not deserve jobs, amnesty, educational subsidies, driver's licenses, and other benefits at the expense of U.S. taxpayers. Illegal aliens first should be encouraged to Go Home voluntarily and then humanely deported as the law requires. Once the public recognizes that jobs and benefits equal encouragement the public will truly press for the flow to cease. Amnesties for illegal aliens have clearly made the problem worse and should be vigorously opposed.
