I am in a new relationship which has both of us coming out of 10+ year marriages/relationships. Neither of us has dated in years. What is an acceptable level of contact between us?.. We live 45 mins apart and in different countries ( Me in Canada, him in the US) and work opposite shifts. I am wrong to ask for daily contact, whether it be text, email, IM or phone?...

You guys live in two different country, first I will say I don't know how you do it. But, phone calls twice a day and email as much as possible is fine. You guys can't phsically be with each other, so what is the problem with phone calls, email or text.

there is such thing as too much contact and such thing as not enough contact also . a person needs time for other things and other people and time for themselves to breathe think and have alone time for things a person enjoys and have alone time. so best thing is call one another 3 times a day and spend time maybe when save up money email every other day and im every other day. plus u dont want to push one another away and dont want to suffocate.
