You seem to have a stygma with mental patients. A lot of times, there disorder went uncontrolled and they just need the supervision of getting their meds aligned. Sometimes it is for a rehab condition. But just because someone has been in a psych hospital, doesn't mean they are crazy. Even if they live there.

I would view them as a person who had an illness of the mind & was hospitalized for treatment. People with mental illness should not be treated like they are pariahs. Most people who are mentally ill are not "crazy" they just have a different brain chemistry & need help coping with certain circumstances. I am so very happy that Mental Illness has finally come out of the dark ages. Years ago, people were locked away & forgotten about. Now, we just need to educate the public & make them understand that the majority of mentally ill people are not dangerous & with treatment, can live a normal life like any one else. And we also need to remember, mental illness can happen to anyone. That includes someone you love or even yourself. It does not discriminate.

The same way I would view someone in a "regular hospital" for a condition. They are or were sick and got medical care...no big deal.

No differently than anyone else who has been in a hospital.

As clever enough to know they had a problem and sought help. Really, not an issue with me.
