Because they want someone they can take care of/mother/manage. Especially if they're the successful type; it confirms their self image. Not only can they take care of themselves, but someone else too. They DON'T want someone to take care of them, and an equal would be too much like competition.
I also know chicks that do that who are total losers, but taking care of someone who is even more of a loser makes them feel like they've got their **** together. By comparison.

Maybe because successful women don't NEED a man who can do a damn thing for them. Many successful women would be content with a guy who comes over and fcuks them whenever they feel the urge.

IMO- I think we just want a man who can give us, love, attention, companionship and understanding. Not a man who can give us things all the time since that is something we can give to ourselves.
I don't want a man to give me more things...I want a man to give me the things that I can't get myself, like an emotional/physical connection. Intellectual conversation with another person.

because they aren't looking for a man with a job or money they already got that, they are looking for more of a good looking guy thats good expressing his feelings, like a gay guy... anyways its like guys for example, if a rich guy were to date an ugly girl, thats rediculous, get a hot young girl that wants money, why not right, girls think the same way, if they are hot and successful they can have anything they want.. ideal guy

Not true. I earned two degrees and would never settle for a guy who wants to just sit back and veg out. No way, no time for that kind of guy on my clock.
