can I buy one of those "listen-up" hearing amplifiers anywhere beside on TV?

The best way to get any type of hearing amplifier is to go to your local hearing and ear center and get tested for a hearing aid. Didgital hearing aids are small, and way better than anything that you will ever get off TV, they are a little more expencive but they are worth it, it will be "tuned" for your ears so it will do a heaps better job.

Raidio Shack I used them before I got my hearing aids.
