Indian Ink tattoos are permanent, though they do tend to fade over time. Of the 13 tats I have, 3 are home made. One is fading, one I had covered up and one is so small its almost non-existent and faded.
The best thing to do would be to go to a professional artist and let them help you pick a piece to get it covered with. Tattoo artists do covers all the time, its not like it would be a big deal to them.

Yeah... tattooing yourself with indian ink is definitely permanent. One of my coworkers has 4 tattoos done with indian ink at home, and she has had them well over 15 years.
If they are small enough, you could always turn them into something else by having a tattoo put on TOP of them. Of course it won't be cheap, but if they aren't that great looking, it would be a way to brighten them up!
The only way to remove them is by either having that part of your skin taken off by a dermatologist or having a laser remove it. Either of those ways are NOT cheap.

Home made tattoos do fade over time. I have 3 real tattoos, and about 4 years ago I had a home made one that faded within a year. If you want a tattoo Ild say you should get one over it..

Unfortunately, tattoos are permanent unless they are surgically or laser removed.
That's the problem with inking yourself, when you change your mind later, it costs even more to have it removed. Most homemade tattoos will fade some or alot, but will never disappear completely.

Let me get this straight.....you gave yourself a homemade tattoo with indian ink and you knew it was PERMANENT but now you want to know if it will go away. Don't you understand what the word PERMANENT means? It WON'T go away. There is NO cheap way to get rid of it.(other than a belt sander.) I just hope that you didn't do something even more stupid like put it on your hands....or somewhere else that you can't cover.
PS...Please disregard the remark about the belt sander.... It was intended to be witty....but I now realize that someone of your limited mental capabilities might think I was serious....................(screw counting to ten....where did I leave the whiskey bottle?)

They will fade a bit if you didnt break the skin all the way, but to completely remove it the only thing is electrolyisis which usually isnt that expensive ans since you used indian ink it will be easier to remove.

It depends if you used a sharp object to push the ink under the skin. If you did then you will probably need to get it taken off professionally with a lazer. If you just painted it on your skin try lava soap. I get permanent marker off my hands with that. It takes some of the surface skin cells off.

The cheapest way to get rid of it is by getting a coverup tattoo over it, perferably a professional one.

the only thing you can do is cover them with another tattoo (hopefully not homemade this time) or have them removed with a laser which is extremely painful and expensive.
