That was NOT the very first foreign car to compete in what is now known as the NASCAR Cup series. On June 21, 1953 at Langhorne, PA - 6 Jaguars, 2 Porches, 1 Volkswagen, and 1 Aston Martin all competed in a 200 lap / 200 mile event. Dick Allwine driving a 1953 Jaguar (possible XK type), placed 6th 16 laps down as being the highest placed finishing foreign car make.

The question that was asked on Fox during the prerace, had to do with what the "LAST" foriegn car to race in a NASCAR race, not the first car. This would be an MG. This still doesn't answer the original question.
