okay my cousin is coming from New York tomorrow and my aparment is a pig pen!!! i always clean up the house but my mother (who is a slob) comes and messes it up then it goes back to looking junky!!! how can i get her to stop doing this?? MY COUSIN LIVES IN A HUGE CLEAN AND TIDY HOUSE!
i tryed talking to her but she just walks away or contiues doing so
my dad does not care
how can i get my mom to help me clean the house up and still keep it clean????
my cousin is staying here from Friday at 7:00 to Monday at 2:00

my mom throws stuff on the table like clothes, brushes, hangers, her clothes and some SUPER GROSS clothes like a bra, underwear I CANNOT TAKE IT ANY LONGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol my mom and dad are the exact opposite they tell me to clean every minute, but in this case they need to take care of ur house and get organized, i hope they will learn their lesson when the guests come baby

If you keep your own room nice and tidy, your cousin will quickly realize that it is your mom and not you who is so messy!
You could try to remind your mom how nice and clean your cousin's house is and that you are embarrassed about your own. But your mom might just remind you that it is her business. Which is right in a way, surely, your cousin is coming to see you and not your apartment. You could try to make a little fun of it, like, sorry, my house isn't as neat as yours, and who knows, she might tell you that she'd prefer her house a little messier and hates cleaning up!
Have fun and don't worry so much about the house!

Clean up what you are able in the rooms that are shared & let your cousin stay in your room. When your mom starts to throw stuff around again, get a garbage bag & put the stuff in it & put it in your mom's room. Tell her you'd like to keep the place neat while you have company.
