Yesterday i downloaded a file and it had mdf files which i am not familiar with i would like to kno how to play it. i also heard that you can burn them onto a CD what kind of Cd and how do i use it?

Guest hmmmm, been reading all these posts and going to all kinds of websites but i just cant get the sims 2 expansion to install correctly. It seems to just lock up at 68% when its trying to install control1.dat
It came in 2 Folders - One marked CD1 and the other CD2.
CD1 has a folder named vng-ts2u1 and in that is Sims2EP1_1.mdf
CD1 also has a lot of vng-ts2u1 RAR archived files that im not sure what to do with.
CD1 has vng-ts2u1.r30 through .r44 and a .sfv file
CD1 has a file named “compressed” that is a RAR archived file
CD2 has a folder named vng-ts2u2 and in that is vng-ts2u2.bin and .cue files
CD2 also has a file named “compressed” that is a RAR archived file along with en-us_compressed and es_compressed
CD2 also has the vng-ts2u2 RAR archived files and a .sfv file as well
I’d really appreciate someone telling me how to make this work the simplest way. I guess i don’t really understand what to mount, what to change to .iso or whatever, or how to get it all installing properly.

Mdf and Mds files are image files created by Alcohol 120% if I am not mistaken.
You can use a utility to mount them as images using either Alcohol or a program called Daemon tools. Daemon tools is free.
