You don't have to do anything for right now about your grades because honey, you have a lot more problems than that. You have abusive parents, believe it or not, and you need to report them to the police. If you stay in that unstable relatinship with your parents, you could be forever emotionally and physically scarred. It may be hard for you to turn them in, but truth is even if you think you love them, and they love you, the truth is they don't. Parents who love their childen discipline them, not beat them. Beating a child is not disciplining them. Please do the right thing for yourself and your parents by reporting them. You can get them the help they need to become better parents, and in the meantime you'll be able to stay in a stable household with loving foster parents. <3

What do you mean when you state "beat" you? Is it something other than spanking that if they did at the store or out of the house, someone would instantly call the police? If so that is abuse and you should tell a teacher or counselor. By law they are required to inform the police/child protective services. If you have a family member like an aunt or something, talk with them and let them know what is going on. They might be able to help with suggestions or be able to get through to your parents that what they are doing could be classified as child abuse.

Do know that if you don't have other family members that will take you in, you might go to a group home or foster home. It is a stinky situation, because you do not deserve to be hurt, but then the unknown of where you will go is so scary, some kids continue to be abused. Some kids go into the foster system and they get abused there too.

Know that bad grades or anything you do, you do not deserved to be abused.

I wish you the best and hope that you do not get beat anymore. If your parents are spanking you, although it is not against the law in some states, and I am not judging anyone on how they decide to parent, I personally feel if you can type out a question on the internet, perhaps you are a bit too old to be spanked.

Anyway, whatever form of punishment they are using it is not working and they need to find a healthier way of communicating with you. Of course it is easier said than done for many. What works for one family does not mean it will for the next, but abuse is never the answer and please never feel like you did anything to deserve it.

Write them a letter and put it on your Mom or Dads pillow before you go to sleep one night. In the letter ask them to please not beat you because it makes you feel afraid, unloved and experience pain. Tell them that you love them and that you want them to talk to you instead of beating you. Tell them in the letter: when you beat me it makes me feel like I have a broken spirit.

If this does not work phone your national child help line and tell them that you are being abused.

Call Child Protection Services as soon as you can. But be prepard to live elsewhere until your parents straighten out. You and them will be going to court and going to therapy. Its costly and not a lot of fun but hopefully worth it in the end. Or you will just be raised without them or one of them. Best of Luck!!!

talk to a teacher or another family member about the beatings. Hope your school has a counselor for you to talk to. I hope everything goes well for you Amy.

Talk to the guidance councilor and tell her/him what has been going on. They'll help you for sure.
