DO you think that the media is the devil's playgroung along with Hollywood?

I mean because the movie's influence kids and people and have a lot of immorality in them. The women dress like sluts, there always has to be some trash in them. The media is always tryng to potray a cetain type of people or religion or country as evil when they are not. Do you think that the media is getting a kick out of adding fuel to the fire of hatred and war between our countries and religion?

The media, is a part of the world. At 1 John 5:19 we can
read that: "the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one".
If then, the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one, what are we to think? Certainly, the media, which reflects and promotes self over all others, is a part of that world. Yes, people are influenced by the media. It was described in another Bible verse as "air". As if this attitude is so pervasive that all one has to do to be affected by it is to inhale.(Ephesians 2:2 "in which you at one time walked according to the system of things of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience".)
As this verse also explains, there is something called "this system of things". This system, includes the news media, the movie industry, governments that incite their citizens to a sense of pride so that they are willing to kill. Greed. Racial hatred. Religious intolerance.

So, of course the news benefits from blatantly exploiting all of the problems on this earth. That is what sells.

The media is one of the worst influences on kids today.
Hollywood promotes violence, sex, homosexuality, lesbianism, disrespect, swearing, drinking and most of all wasting of time.
People sit glued to the television, taking in hours of brainwashing.
I have decided not to watch television anymore because I could feel the negative influence in my life.
Even cartoons have satanical connotations and mixed messages these days. Our children are not safe from the devil if we allow uncontrolled viewing of programs with no concern for the degeneration of our children's morals.
Hatred and war between our countries and between different religions ARE fuelled by the media. Many people believe the biased news they see on CNN and take that to be the truth, without questioning who is doing the reporting.
If Bush bombs Iraq and kills Saddam, it is a "war on terror". If the Muslims defend their land and people or fight oppression, then that is terrorism, according to the western media. Biased if you ask me!
