I'm getting a new car, but I never had insurance on any of my past cars. Is it possible to buy insurance without a particular car in mind and then once the car is purched transfer the insurance to the car so I can take the car home the dame day?

No you can't because your insurance premiums will depend on the type of car you get.

That's it.

Good Luck!

You need insurance to drive a car as soon as you buy it. However, you can not get a policy until after you buy it.
