I'm not talking about minors here. Just what exactly is wrong with a student and a teacher having a relationship?

Not while the student is a student in the school where the teacher teaches. I have had 2 friends who ended up marrying their teachers. Neither dated their teachers untill after they were no longer their teachers. One of my friends was 40 and the other was in her late 30's

Most schools have a rule against this in their policy manual. The instructor can be fired and the student can be expelled or forced to drop the class. Check out the policy manual of your school. There could be some loopholes. For instant, if the teacher isn't exactly YOUR teacher, then maybe you could.

can we say pedafile? jpjp, ok lets see, first of all its illegal but for good reasons, even if person was like 18 and the other is like 22 er 23 it would be like yew cant trust them to give good er bad grades like yew could give them good grades all the time just cause yer dating them, but if yew were in love and yew truly were giving them the grade the deserved then morally no, but no matter what legally its not right, if yew are in this perdiciment(which im not saying yew are) i suggest yew stop the relationship er quit, or else its a big offense on the legal side=\

Many professions recognize that their clients come to them in a vulnerable position, and their ethical rules prohibit relationships with clients.

Doctors of any kind aren't supposed to date patients.
Lawyers of any kind aren't supposed to date clients.
Clergymen aren't supposed to have inappropriate relationships with people they're counseling.
Teachers aren't supposed to date students.

She has a professional role in your life. You are a "client." Because she has a position of power, a relationship would be viewed by her peers as unethical and exploitative.
